Catalan cities in 3D pixel art
Ciutat Xica 3D is a web application for interactive mapping and urban visualisation. It lets you explore cities in Catalonia using OpenStreetMap streets and buildings, complementary cadastral footprints and roofs derived from ICGC LiDAR data.
Explore the mapRepresented municipalities
- Igualada
- Santa Margarida de Montbui
- Òdena
- Vilanova del Camí
This is a visual interpretation, not an exact reconstruction or a navigation service. Some heights, facades and details are approximate. Coverage can be partial: Òdena prioritises the urban centres of Òdena and l’Espelt, the airfield and connecting roads. Including a municipality does not imply coverage of its entire territory.
What you can explore
- Zoom, pan and rotate the three-dimensional view.
- Buildings, streets, squares, public facilities, industrial areas, parking areas and sports grounds.
- Special models of places such as Escola de l’Ateneu Igualadí, Santa Maria, the town hall and Cal Ratés.
- Day and night lighting, illuminated windows, street lamps, cars and aerial animations.
- Place search and markers grouped by type. Interface in Catalan, Spanish and English.
The interactive map requires JavaScript and a WebGL-compatible browser. This page is readable without loading the 3D scene.

SCT congestion reports can influence the simulated number of cars. Cars, balloons and aircraft are animations; they do not show real vehicle positions.
